From performing arts to baseball tournaments to concerts, Sherman offers events for the whole family. Whether you’re a weekend warrior or just passing through, our festivals, annual events and venues are sure to keep you coming back for more.

Indoor

• Excellent theater performances for all ages are put on year-round by the Sherman Community Players and Theatricks (children’s theater), which is a fun way to spend quality family time.
• From September to May, the beautifully restored Kidd-Key Auditorium is host to the Community Series, a concert series including opera arias, chamber music, pop performances and the Sherman Symphony Orchestra (the only orchestra between Dallas and Tulsa).

• Downtown Sherman hosts a live concert series throughout the year, and they also have events that include extended retail and dining hours.
• Hagerman National Wildlife Refuge produces Second Saturday, a monthly program featuring renowned speakers on seasonal topics of interest, along with hikes and educational excursions throughout the refuge.
• Our Parks and Recreation Department plays host to many tournaments throughout the year, especially baseball, softball and soccer. They also put on children events year-round.
